How BikeTrade works

Four simple steps. One easier upgrade.

Start with the right next size. Once the new YOMO is ordered, the rest of the BikeTrade journey is designed to stay simple.

01

Find the right next YOMO

Use our Find the Right Size guide to choose the next bike. If you are still unsure, our support team can help before you order.

02

Check the guidance first

Most BikeTrade questions are answered on our support page. Please check the guidance first so the process is clear. If anything still feels unclear, YOMO support is always here to help.

03

Submit your BikeTrade request

Complete the BikeTrade form with the bike model, purchase details and clear photos. We will review the request and confirm the next step.

04

Return it and receive your credit

Reuse the box your new YOMO arrived in and follow the return instructions. Once the bike is received and inspected, we confirm the final BikeTrade credit. Eligible bikes can receive up to 50% of the original bike price excluding VAT, delivery and accessories.

Fair, clear and realistic

Real bikes. Real riding. A fair assessment.

BikeTrade is designed to be practical, not perfect. We expect normal signs of family use, but the bike still needs to be complete, structurally sound and honestly described.

Real family riding is expected. We do not expect an outgrown children’s bike to look untouched. Honest photos, a complete bike and normal wear are all part of a fair assessment.
Eligibility Within 24 months

BikeTrade is designed for YOMO bikes traded in within 24 months of the original purchase date.

Condition Good, complete and honest

Normal wear and tear is fine. Serious damage, missing parts or major modifications may reduce the value or make the bike ineligible.

Final value Confirmed after inspection

The calculator is a helpful estimate. The final credit is confirmed once the returned bike has been checked.

Packaging Use the new bike box

Where possible, return the old YOMO in the box from the new bike. If the bike is not eligible after inspection, a return or handling fee may apply.

No. It is an illustrative estimate. Final credit is confirmed only after eligibility checks and physical inspection.

Returned bikes are passed to an authorised YOMO partner, who inspects and refurbishes them where suitable. The bikes can then be leased or sold to other families, helping extend their useful life and keep good bikes moving for longer.
