YOMO 20
A lightweight 20-inch bike with multi-speed reach and proper control.
Right size? Check before buying.
The controls are comfortable for smaller hands, the riding position feels natural, and nothing seems awkward or oversized.
Everything you need to know
Fit, geometry, components and the details behind the ride.
The details you might not notice. Your child will feel them.
The engineering choices that make YOMO 20 feel natural, controlled and fun to ride.
Lightweight build
Easier for children to start, steer, lift and stop.
At 7.65 kg, YOMO 20 keeps the ride manageable so your child can focus on confidence, not fighting the bike.
Child-specific geometry
Balanced handling for smaller bodies.
YOMO geometry is built around a child’s proportions, helping riders sit naturally, steer predictably and feel in control.
The more forward geometry definitely appears to work better and is more stable for my daughter.
Scaled for children
Controls and contact points matched to young riders.
From grips and levers to cockpit sizing, the details are chosen so the bike feels natural rather than oversized.
The controls are comfortable for smaller hands, the riding position feels natural, and nothing seems awkward or oversized.
Narrow Q-factor
A more natural pedalling position for smaller hips.
The child-specific crank setup supports smoother pedalling and avoids the wide, awkward stance common on many children’s bikes.
Easy gear changes
Simple control for climbs, paths and longer rides.
Rapidfire-style shifting helps children learn gears confidently, with useful ratios that make hills and family rides easier.
Gearshift very intuitive for our 5-year-old - he’d mastered it in a day and now loves the control it gives him.
Quick-release setup
Makes wheel fitting and adjustment easier.
Quick-release hardware simplifies final setup and future maintenance, especially on larger models shipped with the front wheel removed.
It took me less than half an hour to put together.
Sealed bearing hubs
Smooth rolling, low maintenance and no sharp axle edges.
Sealed bearing hubs help the wheels roll smoothly and keep maintenance low, with child-friendly hardware details.
The gears, the light weight, the bearings and the over all quality just boosted her confidence and made it much more fun to ride.
Child-specific saddle
Supportive shape for real rides.
The saddle is chosen for children’s proportions so longer rides stay comfortable and confidence lasts beyond the first few minutes.
The weight is great, as is the seat tube/stand over length/height, with lots of room to grow.
The front wheel is packed separately for shipping. Fit the front wheel and pedals, align the handlebar, then complete the safety checks in the setup guide.

Ask us anything about the YOMO 20 and we’ll reply by email.
Ask us about YOMO 2001What size child does this model suit?
YOMO 20 is designed for riders aged approximately 6–9 years, with an inside leg of 53–67 cm and rider height of 115–135 cm. Age starts the search; inside leg confirms the fit.
02How much assembly is needed?
YOMO 20 arrives 90% assembled with the front wheel removed for shipping. Fit and secure the front wheel, align the handlebar, install the pedals, complete every safety check and follow the included setup guide before riding.
03How do I set the saddle height?
For a newer rider, start low enough to place the balls of both feet securely on the ground while seated. As confidence grows, raise the saddle so the leg keeps a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke, without exceeding the seatpost limit mark.
04How should a rider learn to use gears?
Start on flat ground. Lower gears make pedalling easier; higher gears suit faster riding. Shift before a hill and ease pressure on the pedals while changing gear.
05How do I adjust the brake lever position?
Loosen the lever clamp bolt slightly, rotate the lever to a comfortable angle for the rider hand, retighten it securely and confirm both brakes engage fully before riding.
06What if a brake rubs?
Check that the wheel is seated correctly and the brake pads sit evenly beside the rim. Use the brake-arm spring-tension screws only as shown in the setup guide, then confirm the wheel spins freely and both brakes stop the bike securely.
07How often should I service it?
Check brakes, tyre pressure, gears, chain condition, wheel security and bolt tightness regularly. Arrange a yearly safety check by a qualified bike mechanic for regular riders.
08Where is the serial number?
The serial number is stamped underneath the frame around the bottom-bracket area. Take a clear photo after purchase for registration, warranty and support.
09What is the maximum rider weight?
The maximum total load for this model is 65 kg, including the rider and anything they carry. Staying within it keeps the frame, wheels and components working as designed.
10What tyre pressure should I use?
Use the permitted pressure range printed on the tyre sidewall. For a lighter rider, start in the lower part of that range and adjust for grip and comfort. Never exceed the maximum shown on the tyre.
11What happens when my child outgrows it?
YOMO BikeTrade lets you trade in an eligible YOMO towards the next size. The calculator gives an estimate; final credit is confirmed after inspection and depends on age, condition and the current programme terms.
12What is the warranty?
YOMO bikes include a 3-year frame and fork warranty as standard. Eligible bikes registered within 30 days receive lifetime frame and fork cover for the original purchaser. Other components are covered for 1 year against manufacturing faults. Normal wear, crashes, misuse, poor maintenance, incorrect assembly, modifications, improper repairs and cosmetic marks from use are not covered.
13Can I return it if it is not right?
Unused bikes can be returned within 30 days in their original condition, packaging and with all accessories included. Contact YOMO before returning the bike; collection costs may apply to unwanted returns.
